The Biggest Issue: When creating pages for cost per click you will have a ton of duplicate content so you need to be able to tell the search engine to not index the page and to not follow any links on the page because the search engines will ban you for creating duplicate content. Our system had to be able to allow users to simply click (Copy page) and place that page in a category marked (Google ad pages) or (Overture ad pages) A user could then rename the page for tracking purposes and the with a click of a button write the code that would stop search engines from indexing the page. Email Marketing/ Opt in List / Newsletters: This software also needed to have an easy way to allow users to op into our list. Building a list is the most important part of Internet Marketing. So that no matter where you were in the world on business, users could log in, update the site with new news or information etc. and then access the email marketing list and send out a press release. Search Engine Friendly Pages: Since we were building the entire system on a MYSQL database we needed to be able to convert PHP pages to html. This is the core value of the software in order to rank on search engines. This happens as you build a page the pages are converted to search engine friendly html pages. From all my experience the short cut technology was all created on database driven dynamic pages either .asp, .PHP or Flash. Search engines will not rank those pages as well as HTML pages.
